Job summary

Kyle Railroad Company is seeking a Roadmaster to supervise Maintenance of Way crews and ensure the safety and reliability of our railroad infrastructure in the Phillipsburg area. You’ll lead field operations, hire and train staff, and drive performance with a focus on safe, compliant operations.

You’ll manage day-to-day MoW activities, coordinate with other departments, and oversee budgeted costs while fostering teamwork and continuous improvement in a dynamic, outdoors environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent
• RWP and 213.7 qualified
• CDL is a plus or able to obtain one
• 5+ years of rail industry experience preferred
• Strong leadership and safety mindset

Responsibilities

• Supervise MoW employees and oversee safety and reliability of railroad infrastructure
• Direct maintenance and repair activities and manage department costs
• Hire, train, and coach crew; conduct performance reviews
• Ensure compliance with federal, state railroad safety regulations
• Collaborate with other departments to meet track, signal, and capital project goals
