Job summary

Eastern Alabama Railway is seeking a Roadmaster to supervise Maintenance of Way staff and ensure safe, reliable railroad infrastructure. You’ll lead a team outdoors in all weather, guide hiring and training, and drive progress toward track, signal and capital project goals.

You will collaborate across departments, perform field supervision, and manage costs while upholding federal safety standards. A strong communicator with leadership experience will thrive here.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ related experience in the rail industry is a plus.
• Prior supervisory experience is required.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and repair activities of MoW with compliance to safety rules.
• Supervise hourly employees and supervisors in MoW.
• Hire, train and develop team members; conduct performance reviews.
• Coordinate with other departments to meet track, signal and capital goals.
• Conduct incidents investigations and prepare reports.
