Qualifications

• A high school diploma and relevant experience.
• Must have a valid South Carolina driver’s license and be at least 21 years of age with one year driving experience.
• Before being certified to administer CDL knowledge/skill tests must complete a formal CDL test examiner trainer course and examination.

Responsibilities

• Administers road test examinations for multiple vehicle classes.
• Assesses applicant fitness and knowledge of driving laws.
• Administers written, oral, and automated knowledge tests.
• Processes driver licenses, permits, registrations, and related documents.
• Answers customer inquiries and assists with document handling.
