Job summary

Transdev Chico, CA is seeking a Road Supervisor to ensure all routes are completed safely and on schedule. You will communicate job requirements to drivers, schedule daily operations, and conduct on‑scene investigations to support safety and regulatory compliance.

The role also includes developing driver training programs, coaching new and experienced drivers, and serving as a liaison between drivers, customers, and local management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
• 2-3 years transit supervisory experience preferred.
• Computer literate: basic MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules.
• DOT drug testing and physical may apply per regulation.

Responsibilities

• Communicate job requirements and responsibilities to drivers.
• Day-to-day scheduling, counseling, and submitting evaluation reports to local management.
• Conduct on-the-scene accident investigations and assist with reports and safety documentation.
• Develop and host driver training and safety courses; train new and retrain drivers involved in accidents.
• Observe drivers on the road and address safety issues on-site while documenting violations.
• Liaise between drivers, customers, and the organization on safety and service concerns.
• Evaluate driver safety and performance in line with policies and laws.
• Assist Safety Manager with DOT/FTA compliance and recordkeeping.
• Occasionally drive routes to support operations.
• Perform other duties as required.
