Granite Construction is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate a range of heavy machines in support of construction projects in Arizona. Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience.
• Prior experience operating heavy equipment in a construction environment.
• Knowledge of earthwork, road and highway construction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy equipment to excavate, move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel, and other materials.
• Perform road building, grading, finishing, sloping, banking, backfilling, demolition, trenching, loading, and stockpiling tasks.
• Operate equipment in accordance with Granite’s safety policies and procedures and perform safety inspections and documentation.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site; assist with loading trucks and other duties as required.
• Work day, swing, and night shifts as needed and in varying weather conditions.
