Job summary

Transdev in San Francisco, CA is seeking a Dispatch Clerk to oversee road service by coordinating with Operators and delivering customer support with a strong focus on safety and compliance.

The role offers a union payscale with starting pay at 22.25 USD per hour and progression to 23.00 USD over the first year, plus benefits including vacation, sick leave, health/dental/vision after 90 days, life insurance, and a 401k.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Computer literate.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to operate standard telephone system.
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures and on-time starts.
• Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding trips (no shows, cancellations, missed trips).
• Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators; liaise between carrier and emergency services.
• Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and responding to issues affecting service quality.
• Understand and follow company policies and procedures.
• Meet or exceed established performance requirements.
• Document trip authorizations and details (transportation type, pickup times, addresses).
• Follow management instructions and company rules including ADA compliance.
• Maintain passenger information confidentiality and a clean work area.
• Perform other duties as required.
