Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA is seeking a Garage Mechanic to service and diagnose a range of route trucks and semi-trailers, including DOT/state inspections. The role requires a minimum of 3 years in light/medium duty truck repair and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with shift variations.

You will perform preventative maintenance, provide timely road calls, and report issues to the Lead/Shop Foreman. Candidates must pass a DOT physical and road test; a Chauffeur license may be required depending on

Qualifications

• 3 years of light/medium duty truck repair experience required.
• Ability to pass DOT Physical and DOT Road Test.
• Chauffer License may be required depending on location (IN, MI, TN).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work 8+ hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform all mechanical repairs for vehicles/equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Inspect trucks to verify DOT compliance and repair as required.
• Provide preventative maintenance, repairs and Federal inspections of the fleet trucks.
• Make service calls in a timely manner.
