Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring a Fleet Mechanic in Elkridge, MD to perform service work, troubleshoot, and handle DOT inspections for route trucks and semi-trailers. Road calls may be required, with feedback to leads on issues.

Qualifications

• 3 years of light/medium duty truck repair experience required.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass DOT Physical and DOT Road Test.
• Successfully able to obtain Chauffer License (If job location is in IN, MI, TN).
• Ability to lift, push/pull up to 50lbs, stack/unstack or carry, stand and/or stoop for prolonged periods.
• Ability to work 8+ hour shifts, nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must meet DOT language requirements to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform all mechanical repairs needed to all types of vehicles/equipment to make proper decisions.
• Inspection of truck to verify no DOT infractions and repair as required.
• Provide Preventative Maintenance, Repairs and Federal Inspections of Fleet Trucks.
• Ability to make service calls in a timely manner.
