Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA is hiring a Garage Mechanic in Kansas City to service route trucks and semi-trailers, perform diagnostic work, and DOT/state inspections. The role includes road calls and feedback to leadership to ensure safe operation.

Qualified candidates have at least 3 years of light/medium truck repair, are 21+, and can pass the DOT Physical and Road Test. A chauffer license is required where applicable, with lifting and shift work as needed.

Qualifications

• 3 years of light/medium duty truck repair experience.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to pass DOT Physical and DOT Road Test.
• Chauffer License required if job location is in IN, MI, TN.

Responsibilities

• Perform all mechanical repairs on trucks and equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Inspect trucks to verify DOT compliance and repair as required.
• Provide preventative maintenance, repairs and Federal inspections of the Fleet.
• Ability to make service calls in a timely manner.
