Job summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center in Toledo, OH is seeking a Production Assistant (Truck Driver) to complete driving routes for pickup and drop-off of donations at the warehouse, donor homes, and assigned boxes.

You will operate vehicles safely, perform daily inspections, and maintain records while serving as a representative of The Salvation Army and supporting thrift-store operations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Must be able to lift 100 lbs.
• Must be able to read maps and plan and prioritize daily route coverage.
• Must be able to use Ipad with GPS, texting and truck inspection report.
• Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Medical card required depending on city and/or state requirement.
• Passing a DOT Physical is a requirement of the job, and failure to do so could result in immediate termination.
• Valid driver’s license for assigned vehicles and acceptable DMV record. Must pass driving test.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicle safely and report accidents to supervisor.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report issues promptly.
• Plan daily routing and complete pickups and drop-offs of donations.
• Maintain accurate records, such as manifests and trip logs.
• Assist Thrift Store staff with item placement and site cleanup.
• Supervise Truck Helper and model professional conduct as directed.
