Qualifications

Requires valid driver's license and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Ability to operate hand/power tools and perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean roadway by picking up debris and litter removal.
Establish safe MOT setup with cones, signage, and arrow boards and perform flagging duties.
Identify hazardous areas and assist in necessary repairs; perform road maintenance tasks (patching potholes, brush removal, weed control, painting).
Perform tool and equipment care, cleaning, and preventive maintenance; complete pre/post-trip checks and report defects.

Position Summary:

Roy Jorgensen Associates Inc is currently seeking full-time Road Patrol Technician. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean roadway by picking up debris and litter removal. Establish safe Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) setup by deploying cones, temporary signage and arrow boards. Assist in identifying hazardous areas and needed repairs. Performs a variety of road maintenance work including patching of chuck holes, cutting brush, burning weeds, painting and flagging. Performs care, cleaning and preventive maintenance on tools and equipment. Completes pre and post trip checks, reports defects and coordinates repairs with management. The position will support locations in the Fort Pierce, FL area. Job site transportation will be provide and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.
