Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Road Mechanic to service and repair equipment at customer sites. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and complete advanced repairs to minimize downtime across our fleet.

Responsibilities include working with hydraulic and electrical systems, using a toolkit of trade instruments, and adhering to safety standards in varied locations. A high school diploma and 1–2 years of experience are expected; CDL may be required in some locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade training preferred.
• 1–2 years of diesel/heavy equipment mechanic experience essential.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL may be required at some locations.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems; safety-focused.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and advanced repairs on diverse equipment.
• Diagnose issues and complete repairs at customer locations with safety first.
• Work on makes/models in challenging remote locations with a team.
• Maintain and use mechanic tools; operate with minimal downtime.
• Collaborate with service team and document work performed.
