Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic to join its growing North American fleet. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair diesel and hydraulic systems on a variety of equipment at diverse job sites, including remote locations.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel or heavy equipment, and a valid driver's license (CDL may be required in some locations). We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (21 years of age & CDL license may be required in some locations).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and diagnose issues to repair in a safe, efficient manner.
• Repair diesel, hydraulic and electrical systems on a variety of equipment.
• Work at diverse job sites, including remote locations, with a team in a safety-focused environment.
