Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic to service a diverse fleet, including aerial platforms, pumps, and HVAC/industrial gear. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to minimize downtime while advancing your trade in a safety-driven shop environment.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, 3–5 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience, and a valid driver's license. CDL may be required in some locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas) strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (21+; CDL may be required in some locations).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnostics on equipment.
• Make repairs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Work in a safety-focused environment with a team of skilled colleagues.
