Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic to work on a variety of makes and models at customer sites, with an entrepreneurial, empowering workplace and a strong safety culture. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair equipment at the customer's location, with a fleet that includes aerial work platforms, pumps, HVAC and other heavy equipment.

A high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of mechanic experience are required, along with a valid driver's license; CDL may be needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired
• 1-2 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (21 years of age & CDL license may be required in some locations)

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnose/repair equipment at the customer's location
• Diagnose and perform advanced repairs to minimize downtime in a safe and efficient manner
