Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a variety of equipment in the safest, most effective way possible. The role offers on-the-job training and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualified candidates have 3–5 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license (CDL may be required in some locations).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; CDL may be required in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment.
• Work safely to minimize downtime and ensure reliability of fleet.
• Be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
