Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals in Idaho is seeking a Road Mechanic to service a diverse fleet across remote locations. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel and other equipment, maintaining safety and minimizing downtime.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of mechanic experience, a valid driver's license, and flexibility to work with various makes and models. A trade school background is preferred, and CDL may be required in some locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record; CDL may be required in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and diagnostics on equipment.
• Make repairs in a safe, efficient manner to minimize downtime.
• Work with a varied fleet including aerial work platforms and heavy equipment.
• Adapt to location-specific equipment and safety requirements.
