Job summary

Lee Maintenance seeks a skilled laborer to perform manual work and operate a Tandem Dump Truck for road construction, repair, and preservation on the state highway system.

The role also uses a Belt Loader, a Self-Contained Sweeper, and a Tractor with Broom; duties include traffic control setup, vegetation management, litter removal, and emergency operations, with CDL Class A required within six months.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of related work experience.
• A valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required.
• Requires attainment of a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within six (6) months of placement in the position.

Responsibilities

• Operate Tandem Dump Truck and other heavy equipment.
• Perform road construction, repair, and preservation duties on state highways.
• Coordinate placement of traffic control devices for work zones.
• Perform vegetation management and litter/debris removal.
• Assist in emergency and inclement weather operations; may work extended hours/twelve-hour shifts.
