Job summary

Operate specialized/heavy construction equipment involved in the maintenance and construction of County roads and city projects.

Essential duties include operating multiple equipment types, performing related maintenance, transporting gear, and managing site traffic. Minimum two years of related experience; High school diploma or GED, CDL-A with tanker endorsement within 30 days. Physical demands include lifting up to 100 pounds and exposure to chemicals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• CDL-A license required at hire; tanker endorsement within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Operates different types of specialized/heavy equipment.
• Performs road maintenance or construction duties while operating equipment.
• Transports equipment and supplies to work sites.
• Maintains and controls traffic at work sites.
• Performs routine maintenance on equipment or trucks and reports repairs.
• May perform general landscape maintenance.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.
