Job summary

Tarrant County is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to support the maintenance and construction of county roads and city projects. You will operate complex machinery, perform related duties, and ensure safety and traffic control standards at worksites.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement within 30 days, and several years of related experience. You will also transport equipment, manage inventory, and assist with scheduling as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of three (3) years related experience.
• An additional four (4) years of related experience may substitute for a high school diploma.
• A Class A CDL is required upon hire, and a tanker endorsement is required within thirty (30) days of hire.
• Must have advanced knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance.

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to stoop, bend, push and pull. May have to lift heavy boxes or objects up to 100 pounds. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals. Exposure to extreme heat and cold.
