Job summary

Tarrant County seeks an experienced equipment operator to maintain and construct county roads and city projects. You will operate a variety of heavy machinery, transport equipment and supplies, and manage traffic at work sites to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Responsibilities include routine equipment maintenance, reporting repairs, and performing related duties as assigned. Minimum two years of relevant experience; a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement within 30 days is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
• An additional four (4) years of related experience may substitute for a high school diploma.
• A Class A CDL is required upon hire, tanker endorsement within 30 days of hire.
• Must have basic knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance.

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to stoop, bend, push and pull. May have to lift heavy boxes or objects up to 100 pounds. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals. Exposure to extreme heat and cold.
