Position Summary

This part‑time position reports to the Director of Workforce Initiatives and requires Saturday and Sunday instruction from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional weekday afternoons.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active Class A CDL with a valid DOT health card.
• Maintain a positive student‑learning experience during hands‑on driving.

• Follow all federal and state laws while supervising student drivers.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of over‑the‑road driving experience.
• Previous teaching or training experience.
• Working knowledge of log books.
• Working knowledge of pre‑trip inspections.
• Working knowledge of required DMV shifting patterns.

Responsibilities

The Road Instructor will take students driving each weekend on various routes, reinforcing classroom material through hands‑on experience.
