Job summary

Team Elmer's in Michigan seeks an experienced Equipment Operator - Dirt to perform digging, backfilling and road construction tasks using a variety of heavy equipment. You will read grades, follow plans and safety signals while maintaining equipment and supporting crew on active sites.

Ideal candidates will have a valid license or be able to obtain one within a year, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Valid license or ability to obtain within one year.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Clean driving record for the past 5 years.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Experience operating excavator, loader, and dozer.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as backhoes, loaders, and dozers to dig, backfill, and move materials.
• Set up and inspect equipment before operation and follow safety rules.
• Read grades and stakes; follow digging plans and signals.
• Work 5–6 days a week in varying conditions and shift durations.
• Assist crew and perform general site cleanup and maintenance.
