Job summary

Team Elmer's, a Traverse City, Michigan-based heavy construction company, is seeking a Mobile Laborer to support aggregate pits. The role involves operating the gravel crushing plant, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring safe, efficient production.

You will work with the Foreman and Aggregate Manager, performing manual labor as needed and following all company safety policies, including OSHA, MIOSHA, and MSHA rules.

Qualifications

• CDL preferred or ability to obtain within one year.
• Clean driving record required.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• Mechanical knowledge of equipment, machines and tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor crushing operations.
• Perform maintenance of gravel crushing and screening plant.
• Clean up spilled material around conveyors using shovel and/or skid steer.
• Operate the plant to provide maximum production and efficiency.
• Move levers, depress foot pedals, and turn dials to operate skid steer.
• Conduct daily inspections, maintenance, fueling and operation of equipment.
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow all safety policies (OSHA, MIOSHA, MSHA).
• Take initiative and work as part of a team.
• May assist other craft workers.
