Job summary

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. (CWR) is hiring a Laborer for our local operations in Florida. The role involves assisting with labor across multiple trades, including asphalt, pipe, grading, and traffic control, and requires outdoor work in varying weather.

Responsibilities include handling asphalt and other materials with hand or power tools, lifting and moving materials, and ensuring safety procedures are followed. Weekends and shift flexibility may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to work days, nights, or weekends as needed.
• Able to complete all required paperwork efficiently.
• A valid Florida driver's license preferred.
• Employer conducts drug testing and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and labor for various trades (asphalt, pipe, grading, curb and gutter, structures, and traffic control).
• Placement of asphalt using hand or power tools including shovel, rake, pick hammer, tamp, saw, etc.
• Shovel or rake gravel, dirt, or other material.
• Lift, carry, and transfer materials and tools.
• Assist in moving and placing traffic control devices.
• Follow safe practices and procedures.
• Must be able to stand/walk for prolonged periods outdoors in inclement weather.
