Job summary

Doña Ana County in New Mexico is seeking a skilled heavy equipment operator to support road construction and maintenance. You will operate a variety of heavy trucks and machinery (Class A CDL required) and perform routine maintenance, inspections, and daily logs in a safety-conscious environment.

Four years of full-time construction experience with at least two years in heavy equipment operations are required; endorsements (H, T, P, N, X) are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Four years of full-time construction experience, with at least two years in heavy equipment operations.
• CDL Class A with preferred endorsements (H, T, P, N, X).
• Traffic Control Certification desirable.
• Background check, pre-employment drug and alcohol test, and driving record check.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment and trucks in road construction and maintenance.
• Check grades on roadway and read and interpret plans.
• Maintain equipment, perform routine inspections, and submit daily logs to the Foreman.
• Haul materials to job sites and ensure safety compliance.
• Complete required reports and operate within OSHA regulations.
