Job summary

APAC-AL, Inc., part of CRH's South Central Division, is seeking an Asphalt Laborer for Grove Hill, Alabama. This on-site role involves general labor on road construction projects, including shoveling, material handling, form setting, and concrete work, with a strong emphasis on safety and housekeeping.

Prior highway construction experience is preferred; candidates must be able to lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly and follow basic tool use and measurement tasks. EOE/Vet/Disability.

Qualifications

• Must be able to repetitively lift up to 30 pounds and pass required physical examination.
• Knowledge of basic tools and their uses; basic mathematical and measurement skills.
• Prior construction experience preferred.
• Maintain reliable attendance and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general labor on road construction projects on heavy highway or production crews.
• Shovel, rake, control traffic, move materials, set and strip forms, and assist with concrete work; maintain cleanliness and safety.
• Experience working around asphalt and operating related equipment is beneficial.
