Job summary

HCF invites applications for a Nurse Supervisor to oversee nursing care for residents, directing staff and ensuring high-quality care on their shift.

The role administers medications per physician orders, documents care, and ensures adherence to resident care plans. Requires nursing education and current RN (PA) or LPN (OH) licensure; CPR recommended.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license (PA) or LPN license (OH) with State Board of Nursing.
• CPR certification recommended.
• Experience in similar roles is desired.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing staff within scope of practice.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Completes care documentation accurately and timely.
• Oversees shift operations and staffing.

• Participates in required in-service education.

Charge Nurse supervises nursing care to residents according to physician's orders, directs staff and ensures the delivery of quality care on their shift.

Responsibilities

• Must function within scope of practice according to the State Board of Nursing.
• Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician.
• Accurately and timely completes documentation of care given.
• Supervises, evaluates and may suspend personnel according to HCF policy.
• Refers to and follows resident's care plan.
• Observes and reports any abnormal findings, such as injuries, incidents, skin issues, complaints, suspected abuse/neglect/misappropriation, and any unsafe conditions as well as any significant change in condition.
• Oversees operation and staffing for their shift.
• Attend required in-service education.
• Follows appropriate Infection Control and Safety Practices.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse (PA) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (OH) with the State Board of Nursing.
• CPR certification recommended.
