Job summary

Waga Energy is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join its Operations & Maintenance team. The role focuses on developing, planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance projects across WAGABOX facilities to improve reliability, safety and performance.

You will coordinate with Methods and Engineering teams, manage contractors, and advise on preventive and corrective maintenance, with travel to sites including overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years in maintenance, reliability, engineering or industrial project roles in energy, industrial processing, manufacturing or gas processing.
• Strong understanding of industrial maintenance principles, asset reliability and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with maintenance workflow processes, planning, scheduling and execution.
• Hands-on experience: planning and executing maintenance improvement projects, coordinating contractors, developing preventive and corrective maintenance solutions, supporting shutdowns and turnarounds, troubleshooting issues, updating P&IDs and BOMs, managing schedules and procurement, collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed engineering studies and plans for maintenance projects.
• Adapt solutions to site-specific requirements and constraints.
• Manage procurement and selection of external contractors and materials.
• Plan activities with Operations teams and execute on-site implementations.
• Update technical documentation related to plant installations and equipment.
• Develop and manage annual maintenance project schedules and inventory levels.
• Communicate changes to impacted teams and support optimization initiatives.
• Support change management and development of new technologies.
• Train maintenance teams and provide technical support.
