Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is an established software-focused company seeking an experienced OR Registered Nurse – First Assistant (RNFA) to support the surgical team in Happy Valley, OR. This onsite role covers pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care, with emphasis on sterile technique and strong collaboration with surgeons and nursing staff.

Ideal candidates hold an Oregon RN license and RNFA certification, plus BLS and Kaiser Permanente OR peri-operative experience, including

Qualifications

Oregon RN license required and RNFA certification.
Minimum 2 years peri-operative scrubbing and circulating experience in a Kaiser Permanente OR; 1 year RNFA outside KP.
Current BLS and CNOR continuing education requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures.
Provide surgical exposure, tissue handling, suturing, hemostasis, and instrumentation support.
Assist with patient positioning, preparation, draping, and transfer.
Support anesthesia during induction and participate in surgical time-outs.
Maintain sterile technique and monitor the surgical field.
Assist with room setup, turnover, equipment, and instrumentation.
Provide appropriate pre- and post-operative patient care and education.
Collaborate closely with surgeons, circulating nurses, scrub staff, and other clinical teams.
Participate in regional on-call rotation for elective, urgent, and emergent cases.
