Job summary

MemorialCare Health System in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to provide safe, perioperative care in partnership with surgeons. The RNFA will collaborate with the surgical team during intra-operative phases and may function as a circulator or scrub nurse as needed.

The role requires leadership, adherence to nursing standards, and the ability to protect patient privacy and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ operating room nursing experience with CNOR certification.
• Completion of CNOR-approved RNFA training program.
• Current California RN license and CNOR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon with intraoperative care and instrumentation.
• Lead and direct licensed and unlicensed staff for safe patient care.
• Maintain patient documentation and ensure privacy and HIPAA compliance.
• Demonstrate leadership to support the surgical team and care plan.
