Job summary

West Henderson Hospital in The Valley Health System is seeking a Specialized Registered Nurse to support the surgical team in the Operating Room and similar settings. The RNFA-certified role assists the surgeon with intraoperative procedures and works closely with the physician to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Candidates should have an Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred); CNOR and CRNFA certifications are required within two years of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Nurses without a BSN may be grandfathered into this job if current with CNOR and CRNFA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Support the surgical team in the Operating Room and other similar settings.
• Assist the surgeon with intraoperative procedures that are beyond the scope of RN practice.
• Functions with the state laws regarding surgical assisting and nursing practice act; RNFA does not function as the scrub nurse.
