Job summary

West Henderson Hospital, part of The Valley Health System, seeks a Specialized Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to support the surgical team in the Operating Room and related settings. You will assist the surgeon with intraoperative procedures requiring RNFA education and training and work interdependently to ensure safe, optimal patient outcomes.

Required CNOR and CRNFA certifications or intent to obtain within 2 years, plus a minimum of two years perioperative nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• CNOR and CRNFA certifications recommended; may be grandfathered with CNOR/CRNFA.
• Minimum of two years perioperative nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide the surgical team with intraoperative assistance in the operating room and similar settings.
• Assist the surgeon with intraoperative procedures beyond the scope of practice for nurses without RNFA education and training.
• Collaborate with the surgeon to ensure a safe operation yielding optimal patient outcomes.
