Job summary

MyOme is seeking a senior wet lab scientist to lead RNASeq integration into the clinical workflow. The role includes developing and validating assays, coordinating with automation and bioinformatics teams, and mentoring wet lab staff.

You will shape the RNASeq strategy and expand the assay portfolio while ensuring compliance with CLIA/CAP standards where applicable. Located onsite in Menlo Park, the role offers a competitive salary with equity.

Qualifications

• PhD required or equivalent practical experience with strong wet lab focus.
• 8+ years of hands-on RNASeq and NGS experience in a clinical/testing context.
• Experience standing up clinical assays and working toward regulatory readiness (CLIA/CAP a plus).
• Strong collaboration across wet lab, bioinformatics, clinical, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and validation of RNASeq assays for clinical testing.
• Create comprehensive project plans covering milestones, hiring, validation, budget, and QC.
• Collaborate with automation engineers to design scalable wet lab workflows.
• Align wet lab processes with downstream data analysis and pipelines.
• Mentor wet lab staff and guide assay development and validation efforts.
• Expand the in-house assay portfolio over time with new technologies.
• Present progress to senior leadership and guide IP strategy.
