Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Research Technician to carry out mRNA display library preparations and screens in collaboration with experienced graduate students or postdocs. You will maintain E-notebook records and ensure strict safety and hygiene practices in the lab.

This is a 40-hour-per-week, full-time temporary role based in North Carolina with a start date in late September 2026 and a typical schedule Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
• Prior wet lab experience with RNA/DNA, protein expression/purification, and/or bioinformatics.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mRNA display library preparations and screens in collaboration with experienced graduate student or postdoc.
• Keep update laboratory records (E-notebook) and adhere to safety protocols and chemical hygiene practices in lab.
