Zymo Research Corporation in Irvine, CA is seeking a dynamic member for the RNA Analysis NGS team to advance cutting-edge RNA-seq technologies. You will execute experiments, compile data, and present findings under mentorship from a senior team member. A strong interest in NGS and RNA biology, plus hands-on RNA-seq experience, is essential.

The role emphasizes collaboration, literature review, and rigorous interpretation of sequencing results as part of a growing research effort.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology or related field.
• 2 year experience in an academic or industry lab.
• Experience with standard molecular biology techniques i.e. PCR, qRT-PCR.
• First-hand experience constructing RNA-seq libraries.

Job Summary:

Zymo Research is looking for a dynamic individual to join our RNA Analysis NGS team. This is an exciting opportunity to explore the impact of cutting-edge RNA-seq technologies.

In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently executing experiments, compiling data, and communicating research findings. You will be mentored by a senior team member to support and effectively guide your contributions to research project objectives.

The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated learner, an effective team player, and possess a strong interest in learning about NGS methods. The successful candidate should have a thorough conceptual understanding of RNA biology and RNA-seq in addition to first-hand experience performing RNA-seq methods.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform and optimize RNA-seq library construction workflows
• Analyze and interpret NGS sequencing data

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.

Compensation, Benefits, and Perks:

The estimated base compensation range for this position is $20 per hour at the time of posting. Actual compensation details will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
