Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington in Webster, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Care Specialist to coordinate wound care therapy within the nursing plan and educate patients and families. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to uphold nursing standards and ensure quality care.

The role reports to the Director of Wound Care. Licensure, CPR, and wound care certification are central requirements; 2 years of direct patient care experience is preferred to

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and a current RN license for Texas.
• Current CPR certification required and must be maintained.
• Wound Care Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates wound care therapy into the nursing care plan and supports patient teaching.
• Provides leadership by collaborating with nursing staff and other team members.
• Assists in maintaining professional nursing standards in the clinical setting.
• Performs other related duties and reports to the Director of Wound Care.

Responsibilities

TheRegistered Nurse (RN) Wound Care Specialistcoordinates wound care therapy into the total nursing care plan for patients; participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Position reports to the Director of Wound Care.

Qualifications

• Education and Training:Provides documents or credentials of graduation from an accredited school of nursing and a current Registered Nursing License for the state in which the employee is working. Certification from approved Wound Care Certification course is preferred. Has current CPR certification and maintains same.
• Experience:Two (2) years direct patient care experience required. Prefer experience in emergency care, critical care or ET nursing.
