Job summary

Rainelle Healthcare Center, part of the CommuniCare Health Services family, seeks an RN Wound/Treatment Nurse to deliver wound care and related treatments for residents in a post-acute care setting.

The role requires an active RN license in the state, current CPR, and 3–5 years in healthcare, with preferred wound care and supervisory experience. Competitive wages and comprehensive benefits are offered by CommuniCare.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in the state where the center is located.
• CPR certification required, ACLS preferred.
• 3-5 years prior work/life experiences, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Prior experience in treatment nursing care desirable.
• Prior supervisory experience, preferably in a long-term care center.

Responsibilities

• Perform treatments, dressing changes, ointments, sprays, lotions, etc. per center policy and orders.
• Perform monthly replacements of gastric tubes and Foley catheters as assigned.
• Perform trach care and suctioning.
• Recommend treatment at least weekly in nurse notes and related documents.
• Recommend treatment procedures or products to attending physicians.
• Re-order treatment supplies from pharmacy or central supply as needed.
