Job summary

Central Nursing for Rehab is seeking an RN Wound Nurse to lead the wound care program, train staff, and collaborate with the DON on resident care plans. The role focuses on establishing wound care policy, implementing care protocols, and maintaining infection control standards across the facility.

Qualified candidates will hold an RN license in Pennsylvania, a wound care certification, and be graduates of an approved School of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Establishes policy and procedure in effective Wound Care management for all facility staff.
• Develops and implements a comprehensive Wound Care program in the facility which includes; care protocol, documentation process, and Wound Care formulary.
• Weekly wound care rounds.
• Maintains standards of care that enable proper Wound Care and Infection Control.
• Directs clinical staff in assessing wounds and documentation.
• Provides wound care training to all new Nursing and Therapy staff on hire and ongoing in-services.
• Delivers accurate assessments to the DON weekly for reporting.
• Conducts infection control surveys and investigations per CDC criteria.
• Serves as a resource on Infection Control practices to patients, families and staff.
