St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in accordance with hospital policies and care protocols.

Eligible applicants should have an Associate degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), CT RN license, and BLS certification; you will be part of a Magnet-designated facility offering tuition reimbursement, loan forgiveness, paid time off, and on-site parking.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current Connecticut RN license.
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
• Excellent assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Acts as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
• Demonstrates the knowledge to assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, cultural and age-related needs.
• Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel within their education/experience.
• Participates in daily interdisciplinary patient rounds to provide input on patient needs.
• Reflects ANA standards and ethics in practice.
• Develops and revises individualized plans of care.
