Job summary

NHC HealthCare Dickson in Dickson, TN is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Weeknight Supervisor to join our nursing leadership team. You will provide clinical leadership and oversee nursing operations during weekday night shifts, ensuring high-quality, compassionate care for our patients and residents.

The ideal candidate holds a Tennessee RN license, demonstrates strong leadership, and has solid clinical judgment. Prior supervisory or long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or a current multistate/compact license that permits practice in Tennessee.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current CPR certification as required.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to provide effective leadership and supervision during overnight operations.
• Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and leadership to nursing staff during assigned weeknight shifts.
• Oversee nursing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient and resident care.
• Monitor patient and resident conditions and respond appropriately to changes in clinical status.
• Ensure medications, treatments, and nursing interventions are administered in accordance with physician orders and established care plans.
• Provide guidance, clinical support, and assistance to LPNs, CNAs, and other assigned nursing staff.
• Assist with staffing assignments, workflow coordination, and addressing staffing needs during the shift.
• Respond to clinical concerns, emergencies, and situations requiring nursing leadership.
• Communicate patient updates, staffing concerns, and operational issues to nursing leadership and appropriate members of the care team.
• Ensure accurate and timely nursing documentation and shift-to-shift communication.
• Maintain compliance with applicable regulations, NHC policies, infection prevention protocols, and professional nursing standards.
• Promote a positive, respectful, and supportive working environment.
