Summary

We are hiring for a Pediatric Private Duty Registered Nurse in New Orleans and the surrounding area to provide weekend pediatric private duty care. Case-specific Enhanced Pay Rates are available with 8-12 shifts. We offer FT/PT hours, flexible schedules, and weekly pay!

Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse in Home and Community Based Services provides and directs nursing and personal care to patients in their homes, as prescribed by the physician or authorized by the state/program, in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and agency policies. The RN coordinates the care plan with other healthcare professionals and ensures continuity of care by sharing information with physicians, agency staff, patients, families, case managers, and community resources.

Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provides high-quality clinical services within scope of practice and infection control standards, according to the care plan, coordinating with the care team from admit to discharge.
  • Completes clinical nursing assessments as required by federal/state regulations and payer requirements.
  • Verifies patient eligibility and medical necessity for services per payer and agency policies.
  • Develops and revises individualized care and service plans in collaboration with community providers.
  • Ensures the plan of care’s frequency and duration meet patient needs and revises as needed with physician approval.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of one year RN experience preferred.

License Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle insurance, dependable transportation or access to public transit.
  • Current CPR certification required.

State Specific Requirements

  • LA: At least one year of clinical RN experience; this may be waived if the candidate has recent clinical LPN experience. RN licensure must be unrestricted.
