Hibbard Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dover-Foxcroft, ME is recruiting a Registered Nurse for our exclusive Weekend Warrior program. This 26-week contract requires a minimum of three 12-hour weekend shifts with a Friday 6:30 AM to Monday 7:00 PM window, and up to two non-consecutive weekends off during the term.

Weekend pay includes a $5.00 per hour premium, plus comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance), a 401(k) with employer contributions,

Qualifications

• AS or BS in nursing.
• Maine RN license required.
• CPR certification required; ACLS and BLS valued.
• Contingencies: Maine background check and references.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and report accurate patient records and EMR.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes.
• Collaborate with care team to update nursing care plans.

Schedule & Program Structure

• Commitment Term: A 26-week contract (6 months) commitment to enroll in the program.
• Shift Requirement: Work a minimum of three (3) 12-hour shifts per weekend.
• Weekend Window: The defined weekend begins on Friday at 6:30 AM and ends on Monday evening at 7:00 PM.
• Time Off: You may take up to two (2) non-consecutive weekends off during your 26-week contract term.

Core Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Records & Reporting: Maintaining accurate, complete healthcare records, reports, and electronic medical records (EMR).
• Medications & Treatments: Administering medications (non-intravenous and regular) to patients, monitoring for side effects/reactions, prescribing assistive medical devices, and ordering diagnostic/clinical tests.
• Patient Monitoring: Recording vital signs and medical information while continuously monitoring, reporting, and recording symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
• Care Planning: Assessing, implementing, planning, or evaluating patient nursing care plans by collaborating with healthcare team members and modifying treatment plans as indicated by patient responses.

Education, Licensing & Requirements

• Education: Associate (AS) or Bachelor (BS) degree in nursing.
• Licensure: Must be currently registered and licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine.
• Certifications: CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation (must remain current throughout employment). ACLS and BLS training are valued qualifications.
• Contingencies: All job offers are contingent upon receiving excellent professional references and passing the Maine State Background Check.

• Technical Literacy: Practical knowledge and use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and/or solid general computer skills.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language clearly.
