Job summary

Marshall Healthcare Facility in Machias, Maine, part of First Atlantic Healthcare, seeks a Weekend Warrior CNA to join our clinical team and deliver compassionate daily living support.

You will assist with activities of daily living, support nutrition, monitor health, document care, and maintain patient confidentiality. Weekend shifts offer premium pay and bi-weekly compensation; CNA registry and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Active placement on the Maine CNA Registry with a state-approved program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, nursing care, and anatomy/physiology.
• Familiarity with computer-based EMR systems.
• Strong multi-tasking, communication skills, and friendly bedside manner.

Responsibilities

• Assisting activities of daily living: showering, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility.
• Supporting nutrition: serving meals, feeding patients, providing water and nourishments.
• Monitoring health: checking vital signs, responding to call lights, reporting observations.
• Documenting care accurately and maintaining patient confidentiality.

The "Weekend Warrior" Program Details

• Commitment: 26 consecutive weekends (6 months total).
• Shift Options: Work either a minimum of three (3) 12-hour shifts or two (2) 16-hour shifts per weekend.
• Weekend Window: Defined as starting Friday at 6:30 AM and ending Monday at 7:00 PM.
• Premium Pay: Enjoy an incredible $3.00 per hour premium differential for all hours worked during the weekend window—stacked right on top of any regular weekend differentials!

Your Role & Responsibilities

As a core member of our clinical team, you will deliver amazing care, comfort, and support to our residents. Day-to-day duties include:

• Assisting with activities of daily living: showering, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Supporting nutrition: serving meals, feeding patients, and providing fresh water and nourishments.
• Monitoring health: checking vital signs, answering call lights, and reporting observations to the nursing supervisor.
• Documenting care accurately and maintaining professional standards and patient confidentiality.
