Cox Healthcare in Oklahoma seeks an experienced RN to provide weekend leadership and direct resident care. You will observe health status, relay physician orders, administer medications, and support family communications. Strong teamwork, confidentiality, and attention to safety are essential.

The role emphasizes care plan implementation, nursing standards, and timely documentation in a multi-disciplinary setting. RN license completion is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as RN or similar role.
• Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with hospital health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures.
• Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices.
• Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry.
• Perfect physical condition and stamina.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate and able to handle stress.
• Successful completion of RN license program is a must.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for weekend staff and maintain open communication with the DON and ADON.
• Provide routine care, observe residents’ health, assist doctors, and communicate instructions to residents regarding medication and home-based care.
• Help implement and evaluate care plans for individual care of each resident as an RN/LPN.
• Maintain nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practices as an RN/LPN.
• Receive, transcribe, and implement physician’s orders in a timely manner.
• Report condition changes and events to appropriate parties.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor infection control compliance and investigate incidents.
• Record medical histories accurately and take vital signs.
• Observe treatment progress and monitor fluids and chart residents.
• Assist residents with daily activities and manage wounds and basic care.
• Collect lab samples as assigned and provide emotional support.
• Communicate with residents’ family for guidance and updates.

Provide leadership for the weekend staff and have open communication with the DON and ADON.

Provide routine care, observe residents’ health, assist doctors, and communicate instructions to resident's regarding medication, home-based care, and preventative lifestyle changes as a RN.

Job Responsibilities:

• Help implement and evaluate care plans for individual care of each resident as a RN/LPN.

• Maintains appropriate nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practices as a RN/LPN.

• Receive, transcribe, and implement physician’s orders in a timely manner.

• Reports required condition changes, events to appropriate parties.

• Administers medication/treatments as prescribed as an RN/LPN.

• Monitors infection control compliance.

• Investigates/documents accidents/incidents.

• Record a resident’s medical history accurately

• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.

• Observe residents under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.

• Monitor residents’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose residents' charts

• Assist ailing residents in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc.

• Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks

• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned

• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed

• Communicate with residents’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions

Job requirements:

• Proven experience as RNor similar role
