Job summary

Viridian Wellness and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse (LVN/LPN) to provide nursing care in accordance with standards and physician orders at our long-term care facility in Texas.

The successful candidate will hold an active LVN/LPN license in Texas, maintain current BLS/CPR, and ideally have prior nursing management experience. This on-site role offers full-time hours with weekend shifts and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current LVN/LPN license in practicing state.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to acquire one.
• Experience in nursing management is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow established charting and incident reporting procedures.
• Follow company procedures for narcotics counting, pharmacy orders, and restraint reduction.
• Document changes in patient conditions including nutrition, infections, weight loss or other noticeable changes.
• Utilize the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Document and notify applicable departments of any patient\'s room changes, LOA, new admits, or discharges.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

The Charge Nurse will provide nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient's needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies as well as state, federal and local guidelines.
