Job summary

Huntsville Hospital in Alabama is seeking a registered nurse (RN) to provide professional nursing care, assess patient needs, plan and delegate care, and evaluate outcomes on the assigned shift.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required. Alabama or multi-state license, BLS, ACLS/PALS/NRP for critical care areas as needed. New grads welcome.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing required.
• Current Alabama or Multi-state Nursing License required; BLS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained in orientation.
• ACLS, PALS, or NRP required for critical care areas based on patient population.

Job description

Maintains established standards of care, policies, objective, and goals in administering professional nursing care to all patients. The RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment. The RN plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The RN evaluates the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.

License, Certification and/or Registration

Current Alabama or Multi-state Nursing License required. BLS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained in the orientation period. ACLS, PALS, or NRP is required for critical care areas based on patient populatiion.

Experience

New RN graduates accepted.

Additional Skill/Abilities

Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently. Department specific competencies must be completed within the provisional period.
