Job summary

Marshall Medical Centers is seeking an RN to maintain established standards of nursing care, assess patient needs, plan and delegate care, and evaluate patient outcomes. The nurse will be accountable for care delivered during the assigned shift and must uphold quality patient care in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing school, active Alabama or multi-state license, BLS in orientation, and ACLS/PALS/NRP as required for critical care areas.

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Providers required; ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable for critical care areas.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Evaluate patient responses and progress toward expected outcomes.

Overview

Maintains established standards of care, policies, objective, and goals in administering professional nursing care to all patients. The RN identifies patient needs and priorities for care through assessment. The RN plans and delegates care based on patient needs. The RN evaluates the patient’s response to care and the attainment of or progress toward expected outcomes. The RN is accountable for outcomes of patient care delivered during the assigned shift.

Qualifications

Education: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
License, Certification and/or Registration: Current Alabama or Multi-state Nursing License required. BLS for Healthcare Providers must be obtained in the orientation period. ACLS, PALS, or NRP is required for critical care areas based on patient populatiion.

Experience: New RN graduates accepted.
Additional Skill/Abilities: Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently. Department specific competencies must be completed within the provisional period.
