Job summary

John Muir Health is seeking a Per diem Staff RN for days in Walnut Creek, CA. The role involves planning, delegating, and coordinating nursing care for a group of patients during assigned shifts, within the John Muir Medical Center standards and California Nurse Practice Act.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team to provide evidence-based care. Required CA RN license and BLS; ACLS and PALS preferred.

The staff registered nurse (RN) is a licensed professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for planning, delegating, and coordinating the nursing care of a group of patients during a designated time frame utilizing the John Muir Medical Center Standards of Care, American Nurses Association's (ANA) Standards of Practice and Professional Performance, and the California Nurse Practice Act, Title 22, and Title 16. The RN coordinates and provides care through the therapeutic use of self, nursing process, and the environment and technology, in partnership and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.

Education: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing - Required Experience: 6 Months Nursing - Medical Acute Care Required 5 years Nursing - Critical Care Preferred Certifications/Licensures: RN - Registered Nurse - Current California License Required BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association Required ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association Required prior to completion of orientation to the assigned area PALS Pediatric Adv Life Support - American Heart Association - Preferred Clinical Speciality - Certification Preferred Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skill required.

Work Shift: 08.0 - Per Diem Days No Waive (United States of America) Pay Range: $87.06 - $118.62 Hourly Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area. Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting.
