Job summary

Baptist Medical Center South is launching a new CVICU as part of a fall 2027 opening. This RN pathway targets experienced acute‑care nurses who are new to ICU and offers a structured clinical development program to build cardiovascular critical‑care skills.

You will complete training alongside seasoned ICU nurses, with rotations and hands‑on practice, progressing toward a role in the CVICU upon program completion.

Qualifications

• BSN degree from an accredited program.
• Current RN license in good standing.
• ACLS and BLS required or obtained within ICU development program timeline.
• Experience in acute-care settings preferred; ICU experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an ICU development pathway to become CVICU competent.
• Receive structured training and clinical immersion at Baptist facilities.
• Develop advanced cardiovascular nursing skills and critical-care competencies.
• Prepare to join the new CVICU team at Baptist Medical Center South in Fall 2027.
